When Will I Receive Updates About My Order?
At Overtake, we understand the urgency of your order, which is why we process most orders within minutes of being placed using a combination of automated and manual workflows. However, please note that our official processing time for in-stock orders is 1-2 business days.
When Are Orders Processed?
While our automation systems work around the clock, our team operates Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. Orders may be processed outside of regular business hours, and cancellations are subject to our Terms of Service (found here).
Can I Cancel My Order? How?
We aim to accommodate order cancellations, but we can't guarantee every request will be fulfilled. If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately via email at help@overtakeusa.com. Due to our automated systems, it's possible that by the time we review your request, the order has already been processed or is in the warehouse. In most cases, we can stop the order before it ships, but cancellations are not always guaranteed once an order enters our system.
What Happens If My Order Was Processed Before I Could Cancel It?
If your order has already been processed and released to the warehouse, it can no longer be canceled. In this case, you will need to accept delivery and follow our Returns and Exchange Policy to return the item(s) in good condition.
Why Can’t I Cancel My Order If There’s No Tracking Yet?
While we provide tracking once an order ships, the absence of tracking doesn’t mean an order hasn't been processed. Once an order is released to the warehouse—whether it's picked, packed, or waiting for shipment—we can no longer cancel it due to system limitations.
My Order Was Out of Stock—How Will I Receive Updates?
If your order is out of stock and you agree to wait, we’ll provide an expected shipping date. Once confirmed, your order is locked in, and we’ll monitor the delivery closely. If the expected ship date arrives and your order hasn’t processed, please allow 24-48 hours for our warehouses to check in the inventory before contacting us. Please note that some manufacturers are experiencing delays, and we may not receive updates until the ship date arrives.
What If I Want to Cancel My Out-of-Stock Order?
If the order is not marked as a special order, we can usually accommodate cancellations, as long as the order has not yet entered processing. For best results, please reach out 3-5 business days before the expected ship date. This allows us time to cancel the order before inventory arrives. Requests outside this window may not be processed in time.
Can I Cancel a Special Order?
Special orders are usually non-cancellable because the manufacturer and distribution network have already begun work to fulfill your order. If we can cancel a special order, you should expect a cancellation fee of 50% or more of the product cost, as the order has already been processed exclusively for you.
I Chose Overnight Shipping, but My Order Didn't Arrive the Next Day—Why?
A few factors can affect express shipping, so here are a few things to keep in mind:
Processing Time: All orders, including those with expedited shipping, require 1-2 business days for processing (business days are Monday to Friday). We do not expedite processing, only shipping.
Shipping Carriers: Most express shipping options do not include weekend delivery unless specifically selected at checkout. For example, if you select FedEx Next Day Air on a Friday without selecting "Saturday Delivery," your order will arrive the following Monday.
Shipping Delays: If we dispatch an express shipment with a delivery guarantee and the carrier misses the deadline, we can usually work with the carrier for a refund or partial credit. However, note that most carriers do not refund transit fees for shipments delayed due to weather, natural disasters, or other acts of God.
