One of the biggest issues that plagues Subaru enthusiasts is the lackluster feel of the factory brake system. The most-noticeable problem when it comes to driving spiritedly is the lack of feedback in the brake pedal, which can lead to unpredictable braking and lack of confidence on corner entry. The biggest cause of this is the firewall flexing and deforming under hard braking. This means that not all of the pressure from your foot hitting the pedal is actually squeezing the brakes, just moving the master cylinder back-and-forth in the engine bay.
The OVERTAKE Subaru Master Cylinder Brace aims to help alleviate this issue by bracing the master cylinder itself to the strut tower, limiting the amount of movement by 65% and allowing for more a confident brake application you can feel right away. Our brace is machined from 6061 aluminum with a sleek bead-blasted black anodized finish. In addition to the brace itself, we include all new hardware for installation and a matching aluminum OVERTAKE blue cap to protect your master cylinder AND add a pop of color to your engine bay.

Master cylinder brace decreased the squishyness of the brake pedal. Increased braking response along with confidence under heavy load.
It was difficult to line up the hole within the driver side wheel well. Ended up figuring it out with keeping everything extremely loose during line up. If able I recommend trying to place the driver side wheel well bolt in first. You will 100% need a second person if trying this.
You can feel how much more stiff the brake system is the first time you touch the peddle, and it looks great in the bay
Definitely a game changer for such a small price! I feel a huge differencewith my brake pedal and the lack of flex when depressed. Worth every penny. Just have PB blaster for the bolt holes, the right tools and tiny hands! I’m happy with it!

VA Sti install was ok. You should remove the top mount intercooler to have more space threading in the bolts from inside the engine bay to outside or else your hand will get cut up from the weave hose covers.
There's a nice resistance when braking. No sponginess but still soft and a more pronounced brake feel.
Definitely worth it.

Does it fit Forester XT 14-18? Do you ship worldwide?
Hey Felix! Unfortunately because of differences in the chassis between the FXT and WRX/STI, this brace wouldn't be a direct fit.

Will this fit a 2026 wrx sport?
Unfortunately not. The 22+ VB WRX's have their ECU's mounted on the side of the drivers strut tower which blocks the area where the master cylinder brace would mount to.
