The Details

The front transmission crossmember mount is one of the most overlooked sources of drivetrain flex in the WRX and STI platform. Factory rubber bushings are designed with large voids that compress and deflect under load, absorbing forces that should be going to the wheels. Over time, they also degrade from heat and oil exposure, making shift quality progressively worse. Our polyurethane bushings are specifically calibrated to eliminate excessive movement while preserving enough compliance for daily comfort. Unlike rock-hard solid mounts that transmit every vibration into the cabin, this durometer strikes the ideal balance. Polyurethane is also unaffected by the contaminants that destroy rubber over time, so performance stays consistent. Expect a slight increase in NVH, but most enthusiasts find this trade-off worthwhile and actually prefer the added drivetrain feedback.

Definite immediate difference. Easy install

This is one of those early suspension upgrades you can do with only acouple of sockets and breaker bar that will make your Subaru feel night and day different. Inexpensive and works great! Get a couple packs for your suby friends!

These will definitely tighten up your transmission crossmember. Wow! And actually very easy to change with ramps and a jack. 30-45 minutes if you have a flat driveway or parking lot and simple tools!

Helped a lot with shifting feel

Had these for a few months and it does smooth out the shifting feel and got rid of some of the jerky feeling when shifting, I noticed this is even better once you have other bushings and suspension upgrades.

I paired these with N Group transmission mount. Such a drastic improvement over stock. I had already completed short throw plate, stop and bushing. These are a must have if your already working in the area!

I don't know how to describe it, but there's less chugging and vibration from the chassis when moving from a stop as well as the car feeling happier to stay in gear. I have this bushing kit installed along with the STi Group N transmission mount coming from both OEM and Yes! There is a big difference. Get this inexpensive kit, you won't be disappointed.

I would highly recommend the transmission bushings for your build as it reduced the NVH and made the shifts feel a lot smoother and helps with the shifter slop.
