The OVERTAKE Drivetrain Bushing Bundle puts our three driveline bushing upgrades for the Subaru 2008-2021 WRX in one box: the Rear Differential Bushing Insert Full Kit, the Transmission Crossmember Bushing Kit, and the Transmission Mount Insert. All three are polyurethane, and together they firm up the soft factory rubber at the transmission and the rear diff. If the shifter feels vague and the car rocks when you let the clutch out, you are feeling factory rubber move.
Subaru mounts the transmission and rear differential in soft, voided rubber to keep noise and vibration out of the cabin, and for a quiet commute that works. Push the car and that same rubber lets the gearbox and the diff shift around under load. The OVERTAKE Drivetrain Bushing Bundle is built for the manual transmission 2008-2021 WRX to tie down all three spots in one go. The Details:
Most owners chase drivetrain slop on a Subaru one bushing at a time, and each one helps. This bundle covers the transmission crossmember, the transmission mount, and the rear differential in a single order. The crossmember and rear diff pieces are 80A polyurethane, and the mount insert is a softer 65A so transmission whine stays out of the cabin. This bundle ships with the three-void mount insert for the 2008-2021 WRX. The 2008-2021 STI and 2022-2027 WRX use a two-void mount and have their own bundle. Figure about 20 minutes for the rear diff inserts, 60 for the crossmember bushings, and 20 to 30 for the mount insert, all with basic hand tools. Expect a little more NVH, and most owners take that trade for the added feedback.

Night and day difference with the car and shifting. Firmed everything up without having any noticeable NVH except for a very slight increase of vibrations at idle once warmed up. Paired with the transmission mount insert as well as the weighted knob and shift stop, the car feels amazing!
I installed this along with the Overtake Transmission Mount, and any skepticism I had prior to install completely disappeared the moment I test drove my car. My transmission feels so much more solid than previously. I can legitimately tell the power is going straight to the drivetrain now. For sure highly recommend.
I was a bit skeptical about how much of a difference this would actually make, but man am I glad I bought it. My transmission feels so much more solid throughout shifts and the power is going directly into the drivetrain. And in regards to NVH...I don't notice ANY increase with the Overtake bushing. Nothing but benefits and such an easy install with the accompanying video.

Simple and effective. This set tightened up my drivetrain.
A while you in there extra mod that enhances the suspension even more. It only adds about 5 minutes to the transmission mount insert installation and makes that 10/10 a big 15/10 in my opinion.
The top bushing were extremely hard to get in and they a ballooning out on the top. The other bushing were very easy to install.
Great kit all in one kit, and great install video. If you have aa '24 TR, get this instead of getting the seperate kit as the TR doens't come with washers on the top bolts. Start reverse order of the install on the lower bushings so you can use the supplied washers to sandwich those in. Then the uppers so you can install the washers with the bushing to hold everything in place and properly tight.
This kit helps to lock down drivetrain slop. By filling the factory rubber bushing voids, it sharpens throttle response and eliminates the annoying "thunk" during aggressive shifts without requiring a tedious press-out removal. Aka; super easy install and you can feel the difference immediately!! 100% recommend!

USPS shipping method could be better.
After a bit of spirted driving felt the difference no slop in the rear. PSA if the bushing is binding on the top pick tool to clean it out and bushing slides right in.
Paired with the shifter bushing and group n transmission mount drives like a different car
This is one of those early suspension upgrades you can do with only acouple of sockets and breaker bar that will make your Subaru feel night and day different. Inexpensive and works great! Get a couple packs for your suby friends!
These will definitely tighten up your transmission crossmember. Wow! And actually very easy to change with ramps and a jack. 30-45 minutes if you have a flat driveway or parking lot and simple tools!
Highly recommend the rear differential bushing inserts for your build as it got rid of my hard launch wheel hop and makes the car feel more planted in the corners.
Definitely felt the difference with these bushings over some of the other brands that are out here.
Exactly what I was needing!
I was skeptical going into this one but I figured I would give it a try. I had no idea what I was missing. The amount of drivetrain slop previously must have been insane. My car feels planted from a stop through heavy acceleration with no delay in power reaching the ground. Installation was a little tricky but made much easier by Overtake's installation video. I definitely recommend taking a screwdriver and cutting open the void in the stock bushings prior to install and use as much lube as possible. My rear diff bolts came out rather than the nuts so it was important to have my diff supported, but install still worked the same. Take your time and stay patient, it's a tight area without much wiggle room. But definitely worth the purchase and install.
I was genuinely surprised by how much of a difference you can immediately feel after the install of these bushings. My WRX feels rock solid and completely planted now from the moment I hit the accelerator and through every shift. And I LOVE that Overtake has released installation videos for all of their products (including the torque specs when going back together!). It made getting my bushings in simple, easy, and efficient. I just wish I had made the purchase sooner!
